Updates
What changed in each release of the Gravy Mod Pack, newest first. A mod's name takes you to its page and its own download.
Beta 2.7
- Graphics Plus 0.1.9: the Vignette slider is stronger, so its effect is now visible. If you already use a vignette, or the Cinematic preset, it will look heavier than before.
- Performance 0.1.8: two new Free Fixes for crashes. A camera with invalid values is now skipped instead of being passed to the game's rendering, which should help with a rare multiplayer crash. The designer's undo history now drops its oldest steps past 300 MB, so long sessions on huge crafts are less likely to run out of memory.
Beta 2.6
- Performance 0.1.7: crafts with designs or decals no longer turn black with lower Texture Quality (the Low and Potato presets, or Custom with Texture Quality 1 or 2).
Beta 2.5
- Graphics Plus 0.1.8: looks now work when the Performance mod's Post Effects is set to Off. Before, that setting quietly switched off everything Graphics Plus does. While a Graphics Plus look is in use, post effects stay on.
- Extreme Weather 0.5.6: a tsunami is now visible from the ground as it rolls in, not only from the air. Morning fog and rain on the glass also cost less frame time.
- Walkable Craft 0.2.5: an explosion near you while you're knocked down no longer flings you across the map at thousands of km/h. It pushes you as hard as it would while you stand (a bug in the game itself).
- Air Traffic 0.9.5: Excluded Runways now works for every runway in the list, not just the first one. The setting text is clearer about the separator (a vertical bar, |).
- Classic Islands 0.6.6: Maywar's runway numbers now match their real headings (21L, 21R, 3R, 3L, 34 and 16). Islands load with less memory churn.
- Performance 0.1.6: the Balanced preset no longer makes the clouds look blocky.
Beta 2.4
- Passenger Seats 0.1.4: opening the designer or leaving the flight while you're in a passenger seat no longer freezes the game or makes the mouse disappear.
- Airport Lights 0.3.2: the Wright Isles airport beacon no longer stands in the middle of the taxiway beside runway 36.
- Graphics Plus 0.1.7: the sun and moon lens flares now fade out when the camera goes underwater.
- Performance 0.1.5: profile pictures in the multiplayer Player List should no longer get covered by the SimplePlanes logo when Performance lowers texture quality (the Low, Potato and Custom presets).

- Sound Barrier 0.2.4: new Cone Forward/Back, Up/Down and Left/Right sliders to move the vapor cone, and a "Show Cone (for adjusting)" toggle that keeps it visible while you position it.
- Flight Map 0.6.2: the minimap can be dragged by its top bar or placed in any screen corner, and "Reset Minimap Position" puts it back. Map text now fits the screen: long names are shortened or wrapped and nothing runs off the edge. Less memory use and fewer hitches while the map builds.
- Extreme Weather 0.5.2: morning fog is now white and lit by the sun, moon and sky like the game's own clouds: golden toward the sunrise, blue-grey in twilight, dark at night.
- Graphics Plus 0.1.6: the sun's lens flare no longer appears on the moon and fades out through dusk; a new Moon Flares setting adds a faint moon glow if you want one. New Lower Near Clip option stops high field-of-view settings from cutting into cockpit walls.
- Air Traffic 0.9.4: the airliner model is now properly cached, so there's no hitch rebuilding it every flight, plus smoother spawning.
- Sea Traffic 0.5.2: ship spawns, harbour scans and route searches no longer cause hitches.
- Night Traffic 0.5.2: no more hitch when island roads load, and much faster road setup.
- Airport Lights 0.3.1: building an airport's lights is spread over several frames, so approaching one no longer hitches.
- Birds 0.1.5: flock spawning and ground checks spread over frames.
- Ambient Sounds 0.2.1: less background work; nothing is sampled when it's off or you're high up.
- Performance 0.1.4: a Frame profiler (off by default) that writes where each frame's time goes to the log, for troubleshooting.
Beta 2.2
- Airport Lights 0.3.0: every light now stands on the ground as a real fixture: lamps on short stems along the edges and taxiways, lights set into the pavement on the centreline, lamp heads on the approach bars, and a proper beacon and floodlights. You can taxi right up to them at night and they stay lights instead of fading dots.

- Passenger Seats 0.1.3: you can now sit in other players' crafts in multiplayer, including cars and tanks, and you can get in from beside the door.
- Walkable Craft 0.2.4: you can walk on and inside other players' planes, ships and cars in multiplayer while they move. The camera now turns, rocks and rolls with the craft you're standing on, so you can walk straight and reach the controls on turning ships, cars and spinning stations (setting: CameraFollowsCraft).
- Gravy Mod Menu 0.3.0: tells you when an update is out. Once a day it checks for newer versions of your Gravy mods and shows a small notice with a link to the download page. It only sends the menu and pack version, and you can turn it off (CheckForUpdates). The game's Submit Bug Report button now first points you to Report a problem for anything that might be a mod issue; Continue still opens the game's own report.
- Graphics Plus 0.1.4: Shadow Resolution, LOD Bias and Ambient Occlusion now only ever raise the game's own settings. Before, picking 2048 or 4096 shadows made distant shadows worse than the game's High setting.
Beta 2
- Gravy Mod Menu 0.2.1: a Report a problem button in the menu. Describe what happened and pick the mod; it attaches this session's log, your Gravy mods' versions and settings, and a few details about what you were doing, with personal details like folder names and IDs taken out. You can see everything before it's sent, and nothing is sent until you press Send. No account needed. If the game crashed last time, the menu offers to send that crash too.
Beta 1.3
- Flight Map 0.6.0: routes now use turns the autopilot can actually fly. Plan your route on the ground before takeoff, with a cruise altitude and speed you can set on the map. The autopilot climbs, cruises and descends along the route, and the route corrects itself if you drift off (it stays steady once you're on the approach). Every runway can now be approached from both ends.
- Air Traffic 0.9.3: the runway you're landing on or taking off from is kept clear for you. Traffic carries on as normal until a few minutes before you arrive, then departures queue at the hold line and arrivals land after you. Cochran's parallel runways are now handled as separate runways.
- Classic Islands 0.6.4: fixed a crash that could happen while an island's airport loaded in.
- Tree Distance 0.1.4: part of the same crash fix.
- Airport Lights 0.2.1: small stability fixes.
- Sea Traffic 0.5.1: small stability fixes.
- Night Traffic 0.5.1: small stability fixes.
- Birds 0.1.4: small stability fixes.
Beta 1.2
- Classic Islands 0.6.3: Maywar's copy of Cochran Airport is fixed: its runways are now in the right place and named correctly (21L/03R, 21R/03L and 34/16), no trees stand on or around them or under the approaches, and the West Coast Road now goes round the south end of the airport instead of across a runway. Maywar's desert plants are visible from much further away instead of appearing at the last moment.
- Air Traffic 0.8.2: AI aircraft no longer park or stop on runways, and any that do get stuck are cleared away. Light aircraft avoid runways with high ground on the approach.
- Tree Distance 0.1.3: plants that used to vanish in the middle distance, like Maywar's desert plants and Krakabloa's palms, now stay visible all the way out.
Beta 1.1
- Air Traffic 0.8.1: the airliner setting no longer lists a craft file that doesn't come with the mod; it's just the bundled Boeing 737 now. Settings from Beta 1 that still had the old default are updated automatically.
Beta 1
First public release of the Gravy Mods pack. Every mod is its own DLL with its own version number (each README and the website list them); the pack is numbered by release (Beta 1, Beta 2 and so on). Works with SimplePlanes 2 0.7.9.
Known issues are listed on the Gravy Mod Pack page.

- Gravy Mod Menu: a lavender button in the flight MENU opens one panel with a tab per installed mod, plus extra game settings (with Restore Original Values). Key settings are press-to-rebind and warn about keys already in use. Drag Scale is held at 1 in multiplayer.
- Air Traffic: airliners, business jets, turboprops, light aircraft and helicopters flying scheduled departures and arrivals between real runways, including runways added by other mods. Runways are checked for players, crafts and vehicles before they're used, with go-arounds. Aircraft push back, taxi between the stands and the runways and park at the airports near you. Airliners are always lightweight models (the bundled Boeing 737 by default), cached after the first bake so they load instantly; nothing is spawned over the network, and in multiplayer every player with the mod sees their own traffic. High overflights with contrails, mid-route spawns, parked aircraft, a blimp and hot-air balloons. Engine sounds, nav lights, strobes, beacons and lit cabin windows at night. Comes with its own airliner (a Boeing 737-200), so it works out of the box.
- Flight Map: minimap and pannable full map with every island, curved approach routes, other traffic (including Air Traffic's lightweight aircraft) and Classic, Night and Chart styles. A route autopilot (Enter) steers the route and holds altitude, with terrain avoidance and an experimental autoland.
- Classic Islands: SimplePlanes 1's Wright Isles, Sky Park City, Krakabloa, Snowstone and Maywar (with a copy of Cochran Airport) placed near the main island, each as its own mod, optionally restyled with SP2 textures and trees (kept off runways, taxiways, aprons and buildings); the Breadcrumbs stepping stones; plus Cthulhu and the Brown Pearl. One Modded Islands tab in the Gravy Mod Menu with a switch per island.
- Performance: Balanced / Low / Potato / Custom presets and free fixes for weaker PCs, plus opt-in physics options.
- Graphics Plus: Crisp and Cinematic looks with TAA/SMAA, object motion blur, flares, colour grading, depth of field and more distant detail.
- Sound Barrier: vapor cone around Mach 1 and a sonic boom when jets pass you.
- Extreme Weather: snow down to the beaches, blizzards (gusty wind, whiteout, slippery wheels), tornadoes, hurricanes and tsunamis on demand. Weather Life adds rain on your craft's glass (also in clouds), distant lightning and morning fog in the valleys. Weather sounds: blizzard, tornado and hurricane winds, thunder after each flash, rain on the glass.
- Sea Traffic: cargo ships, carrier groups and attack boats on sea lanes around the islands; sailboats, speedboats, jet skis, fishing boats, yachts, tugs and ferries along the coasts; ships moored in the harbours. Ship lights, lit harbours and lighthouses with turning beams at night. Engine and bow-wave sounds.
- Night Traffic: distant car lights at night and low-poly cars by day on the game's roads, street lights, lit and phantom trains, landmark lights for the Bannock power plant and an optional darker True Night.
- Airport Lights: runway edge, threshold, centreline, approach and PAPI lights plus beacons for Daland and Migicovsky, and for the Classic Islands' airports (Wright Isles, Krakabloa, Snowstone) when those mods are installed.
- Upscaling: switches on AMD FSR 1 upscaling, tied to the game's resolution scale or its own render-scale slider.
- Tree Distance: forests to the horizon using the game's own tree impostors.
- Ambient Sounds: waves, gulls, ship horns (also from ships you pass), city hum, airports, birds, crickets, distant storms and wind, depending on where you are.
- Birds: flocks of gulls, crows, starlings, pigeons and buzzards that glide, circle thermals and scatter from aircraft; optional bird strikes.
- Space: the sky turns to space from about 18 km up, and jets flame out in thin air; optional gravity falloff.
- Walkable Craft: walk around inside a flying craft.
- Passenger Seats: sit in passenger seats, including in other players' crafts.
- More Players: raise the multiplayer player cap, up to 100.
Multiplayer
- Every mod's page has a Multiplayer section, and the FAQ has an overview table.
- World-changing features only run in single player or when you host, and the ones other players would notice (shared weather, the road traffic cap, gravity, Cthulhu's storm, the Brown Pearl's cannons) only when you host alone, unless you opt in (Extreme Weather's Share Weather With Players).
- Nothing touches other players' crafts.
