Passenger Seats

• Walk up to a passenger seat and press G to sit. Press G again, or the game's Enter/Exit craft key, to stand up.
• Your character rides along with the craft, even if it belongs to someone else.

• Who needs it: every player who wants to ride, or to see other passengers sitting in their seats.
• Players without the mod see a passenger as a standing character that moves along with the craft. Nothing else changes for them, and they get no errors.
• The pilot keeps full control. A passenger never takes control of the craft, sends it input or changes it. Sitting in another player's craft doesn't ask the owner, so ask first.
• Host without the mod: riding works. Your character keeps reporting its position while you sit, so the host tracks you with the craft (what gets loaded around you, who simulates nearby objects) just like any other player.
• Host with the mod: also drops seat messages that pretend to come from another player.
• Checks on seat messages: a seat message is only accepted if the player is near that seat, it's a free passenger seat, and it keeps being repeated (a seat nobody confirms for 10 seconds is cleared). If a passenger's own position reports keep placing them away from the seat, they're shown standing again.
• Everyone in the group should use the same version of this mod.

• Two players with the mod who sit in the same seat at the same moment each see themselves in it until one stands up.
• Players without the mod see passengers standing rather than sitting.

• BepInEx 5 (5.4.x, x64 Mono build) installed in the game folder. On Linux/Steam Deck with Proton, add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command% to the game's launch options.

The Gravy Mod Menu is recommended: most mods keep their in-game settings and status there. Without it, edit the .cfg files in BepInEx/config/.
